    Originally the double vinyl for my recent album Hindsight was only available to the backers of the Kickstarter fundraiser for the album. However, due to the many requests I've gotten over the years, I had a limited reprisal pressing made of this incredible album (featuring Orrin Evans, Basseku Kuyate, Mike Moreno, Rashid Jamal, Behn Gillece and many others, with original album cover artwork by artist Mark Kostabi). Each album will come autographed and hand-numbered. SALE price of only $25 (plus shipping) from Black Friday through December 1st. After that, they will sell for $40 (plus shipping). There are only 150 pressings, so get yours while you can.

about

In light of American popular culture finally acknowledging systemic racism, I wrote "Things Fall Apart." It begins with a broken drum groove, which is symbolic of this crack in the foundation of The United States - a nation built on the backs of slavery, which also ironically claimed that "all men are created equal." My long-time friend Majid Khaliq wrote lyrics for the song, drawing inspiration from his own experiences. Rapper Rasheed Jamal also contributed his own words to the song, deepening its message.

lyrics

Lyrics by Majid Khaliq:

Piece by piece things fall apart, they crumble.
From far and wide they look and see we stumble.
Our lives monetized, this land don't treasure humble.
The banner's waving, still our blood pours.

The needless deaths that seem to fade as fast as they are slain in vain,
darkness paves the way.
The hopes to save our sanity, our skin can never change, no shame,
let us stand together!

Piece by piece things fall apart, they crumble.
From far and wide, they look and see more trouble.
